Our goal at Dog Run Dog is to help raise awareness for the developing concerns with our animal companions, build an event that people love, and donate a portion of our proceeds to National and Local Animal Organizations. One of our National Benefactors is the Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign.

Rules of the Race

Dogs should be at least one (1) year old to run competitively. If younger please use discretion and walk, jog, or carry your loving companion. Only one dog and one human will be officially timed per Registered Bib Number (rbn) but any number of humans can run as the support group ($10 donation).


1. Dog & Partner must be tethered to each other. For an offical finish time the tether must be the same length at the START and at the time of crossing the finish line. Variable lengths are acceptable during the run.
2. Time is calculated when DOG's nose crosses finish line.
3. Partner is responsible for cleaning up dog sculptures. (doo doo)

GREAT RACE PROVINCETOWN!

Thank You to Carol and Gwynne and all the CASAS volunteers, Mike and Manny AGAIN! Thank you for the great vet support (and the ride back to the start line). Vernon Porter, David Gardner, Pam Hudson and all the great support from the town offices, Rex McKinsey and John Davidson for help with Macmillan's Pier, (and for Rex's great ideas) The Selectmen, the editor of the Pet Gazette Kathy Kinsman, (Great Newspaper!), Jeff Durkin, Jay Vivian, Sperry, Donna, Tom and David for the use of Kalmar Village starting line (we had a great time staying there), Candace and Debbie from the Provincetown Dog Park Association and to all the wonderful energy in Provincetown, what a great place. GREAT RACE SOUTHERN PINES!

Congratulations on a successfule race! About 50 dogs and 70 people participated in the race. It was perfect weather for record setting times on a fabulous course.
